Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Really helpful to know I'm not the only one dealing with this antenna problem. Great that you got it sorted out. Quick question, do you remember roughly how much the repair set you back? Also, has everything been running smoothly since the fix, or have you noticed any other little quirks pop up? Trying to figure out what I might be in for cost-wise and if I should expect any other related issues. Thanks again!

Hey again! Happy to give you the update! Yes, everything has been running perfectly smooth since I got it fixed, not a single problem with the radio or entertainment system. The repair cost me 255 € total, which included the new antenna module and the labor. The signal is crystal clear now, and I'm actually amazed at how much better the radio reception is compared to before. I was worried at first that other issues might pop up, but it's been several weeks now and the fix seems to have sorted everything out completely. The DAB radio works flawlessly, no more unusual audio cutouts, and those annoying error messages are gone for good. Really glad I went ahead and got it sorted! To be honest, it was worth every penny just to have a properly working system again. If you're experiencing the same symptoms, I'd definitely recommend getting it checked out. These modern BMWs are amazing cars, but when the tech acts up, it's best to get it fixed right away. Would love to hear how it goes if you decide to get yours repaired!

Thanks for all the details about the repair cost and the follow-up info! Finally bit the bullet and took my car to the mechanic yesterday. You were spot on, it was the antenna module causing all the trouble. The repair cost was similar to what you paid, around 280 € in total. The mechanic was super professional and fixed it within a few hours. They also did a full diagnostic check and found no other issues, which was a relief. The sound system is working perfectly now, crystal clear radio, no more error messages, and the entertainment system is back to normal. Really glad I asked here first. Saved me from stressing too much about it and gave me the confidence to get it sorted. Thanks again for sharing your experience, it was exactly what I needed to hear!

As a 2021 BMW iX3 owner, I faced nearly identical issues last month. The symptoms were exactly the same, DAB radio cutting out, audio system failing, and constant error messages. Turned out it was indeed an antenna defect. Took it to the garage where they diagnosed a faulty antenna module and connection issues with the main control unit. The repair involved replacing the antenna assembly and recalibrating the infotainment system. Not a complex fix, but it required specific diagnostic tools. This isn't typically a serious issue, but it needs proper attention since it's connected to the car's main communication system. After the repair, everything works perfectly, no more dropout or error messages. My suggestion would be to get it checked at a certified service center since they'll have the right diagnostic equipment for these electric models.
