Hey, thanks for the detailed response! Dealing with the same headache on my i4 M50. Currently at 48277 KM and just had my service last month. I tried the basic infotainment reset you mentioned but no luck. The issues started about two weeks ago, right after my phone's latest update. I'm gonna try clearing all stored connections like you suggested before heading to the workshop. Really hoping it's just a software glitch that can be fixed with an update like in your case. The bluetooth problems are especially annoying since I use the car for work calls. Thanks for sharing your experience, definitely gives me some hope this won't be a major repair!

Hey again! Yeah, that's exactly what happened with my iX3 too, phone updates can be real troublemakers with these systems! After reading about your M50's mileage and the timing of these issues, I'm even more convinced it's similar to what I faced. Quick tip from my experience, before you head to the workshop, try completely removing your phone's Bluetooth history too, not just the car's stored connections. That made a difference in my case. Also, make sure your phone's Bluetooth is completely off before doing the infotainment reset. I totally get how frustrating this is with work calls, was in the same boat! Funny enough, after my fix, the connection's been rock solid for over a year now. Just don't skip the software update part when you get it checked out, that's what really solved it for me. This definitely sounds fixable without any major repairs. Give those steps a try and let me know how it goes. If it doesn't work, the workshop reset worked wonders for me, and it wasn't too expensive. Keep me posted!

Thanks so much for those extra tips! I'll definitely try clearing my phone's Bluetooth history too, that's something I hadn't thought of. It's really reassuring to hear your connection has been stable for over a year after the fix. Just tried the complete power-off method with the phone's Bluetooth like you suggested, and while it's still not perfect, I'm already seeing fewer error messages. I've booked an appointment with my workshop for next week, and I'll make sure to specifically request the software update you mentioned. Really appreciate you taking the time to share all this detailed advice. It's such a relief knowing this is likely just a software issue and not something more serious. Will definitely update once it's all sorted. Thanks again for all your help!

Hey! As someone with some experience working on EVs, I had a similar issue with my 2019 BMW iX3 (I've also owned an i3). The symptoms were exactly the same, constant Bluetooth drops and pairing failures. Super frustrating! Took it to my regular workshop and turns out the Bluetooth module needed a complete reset and software update. The whole thing cost me 45 Euro and took about an hour to fix. They basically had to clear all stored connections and perform a fresh system update. What trim level is your i4, and have you tried doing a basic infotainment reset yourself? Also, when did these issues start happening? Could help pinpoint if it's related to a recent phone update or car software update. Let me know these details and I might be able to share more specific tips from my experience!
