BMW i8 Clutch Switch Issues Causing Multiple Failures

Hey everyone! Really worried about my 2015 BMW i8 Hybrid. Just got back from a mechanic who didn't really inspire confidence. My car's been acting up, cruise control isn't working, the gear display in the speedometer is dead, and I can start the car without pressing the clutch (which doesn't seem right). Also got some error codes stored. The mechanic mentioned it might be the clutch pedal switch, but I'd love to hear if anyone else has dealt with similar symptoms in their i8? Car's at 26,138 KM. Any recommendations on what to check or experiences with repairs would be super helpful!

Just got back from the new mechanic and wow, what a different experience! Had the clutch pedal sensor replaced and it fixed everything. The whole repair was way smoother than I expected. Cost me a bit more than yours, around 120 bucks, but totally worth it considering all the problems it was causing. Took my car for a test drive afterward and it's like having a completely different vehicle. The cruise control's working perfectly again, gear display is crystal clear, and that weird starting-without-clutch issue is gone. All those error codes cleared up too.
