Thanks so much for sharing your experience! That's really helpful to know it might just be the fuse and sensor. I'll definitely look into getting it checked by a certified specialist. Would you mind telling me how much you ended up paying for the repairs? Also, has everything been working smoothly since the fix? Just want to make sure it's a lasting solution before I commit to anything.

Hey again! Glad I could help out! Just wanted to update you on my experience since getting it fixed. Yeah, it cost me 52€ for the fuse replacement, which wasn't bad at all. Best news is everything's been working perfectly since the repair, no more fuel gauge issues or engine stalling. The fuel level sensor problem got sorted out completely, and I've had zero issues for the past month. Trust me, I was relieved it wasn't anything more serious. These hybrids can be tricky, but sometimes it's just simple stuff like a blown fuse causing all the drama. Just make sure whoever you pick knows their way around BMW hybrids, it makes a huge difference. Let me know how it goes when you get yours checked out. Always good to hear if others have similar fixes that work out well.

Update: Finally got my i8 fixed today and wanted to share what happened! Turns out you were spot on, it was mainly the fuel sensor acting up, but in my case, they also found some corroded wiring that needed replacing. Took it to a certified BMW specialist and honestly, what a difference compared to my last mechanic! They were super thorough and explained everything. Total bill came to around 300 for parts and labor, which wasn't as bad as I was expecting for a hybrid. The car's running like a dream now, no more stalling, fuel gauge works perfectly, and that annoying check engine light is finally off. Should've done this weeks ago instead of worrying about it. Really appreciate your advice about going to a specialist. They definitely knew what they were doing with these hybrid systems. Thanks again for helping me out!

Hey there! I drive a 2016 BMW i3 Hybrid and experienced similar issues last month. The symptoms you're describing match what I dealt with, stuck fuel gauge and engine stalling. In my case, it turned out to be a blown fuse in the fuel pump circuit, plus a faulty fuel level sensor. The diagnostic showed the same error codes. Thought it was something major at first, but it wasn't too serious. The fuse was replaced and the sensor needed cleaning and recalibration. Got it fixed at a certified BMW service center. The whole repair took about half a day. If you're not comfortable with your previous mechanic, I'd recommend finding a certified BMW specialist who knows these hybrid systems well. Just make sure to get it checked soon, driving with a malfunctioning fuel sensor could leave you stranded somewhere. Plus, those stalling issues aren't something you want to ignore.
