Thanks for sharing your experience! Just had my car serviced last week at 27269 KM, so I'm a bit surprised to have this issue now. I actually haven't checked the fluid level myself yet, honestly didn't think it would completely shut down just from being low. I haven't heard any unusual sounds, and the warning light just popped up suddenly yesterday. I'll definitely check the fluid level first before taking it to the workshop. Good to know it might be a simple fix!

Hey again! Thanks for the additional info about your recent service. You know what's interesting, even though my i4 had just been serviced at around 30000 KM when this happened, I discovered that these new BMWs use quite a bit of washer fluid, especially with all the automated cleaning systems for the sensors and cameras. Just wanted to share a quick tip from my experience, when I checked my reservoir after the warning came up, it looked like there was still a tiny bit of fluid left, but the system had already shut down. These newer models are pretty sensitive and will disable the washer system before it's completely empty to protect the pump. It's actually a smart feature, even though it can be a bit annoying! Since your symptoms sound exactly like what I experienced (sudden warning, no strange noises), I'm pretty confident it's just the fluid level. Would definitely recommend checking that first, just pop the hood and look for the blue cap with the washer symbol. If topping it up doesn't solve it, then yeah, might need the workshop, but I'd bet good money this is all it is! Let me know how it goes after you check the fluid level. Always happy to help a fellow BMW electric owner!

Thanks so much for the detailed explanation! Just checked under the hood, and you were absolutely right, the reservoir was nearly empty. Topped it up with some washer fluid I had in the garage, and what do you know? System's working perfectly again! Really appreciate you taking the time to explain about the protective shutdown feature, makes total sense now why it stopped working before it was completely empty. I'll definitely keep a closer eye on the fluid levels from now on, especially knowing how these new BMWs use more of it for all the sensors and cameras. You saved me an unnecessary trip to the workshop! Thanks again for all your help!

Hey! I have some experience working on cars, and I actually faced something very similar with my 2021 BMW i4 last month. The i7 in our family also had this issue before. The good news is, it was a pretty simple fix! Got a warning light too, and the washer wasn't working at all. Took it to my workshop and turns out the washer fluid was just completely empty, triggering a safety shutdown in these newer electric models. They topped it up, ran a quick system check, and everything worked perfectly again. Only cost me 25 Euro for the fluid and service. Just to help you better, could you tell me if you've checked the fluid level yourself or if there are any unusual sounds when you try to use the washers? Also, did your warning light come on suddenly or gradually?
