Thanks for sharing your experience! That sounds exactly like what I'm going through with mine. Really helpful to know about the ABS module connection, wouldn't have thought of that. Would you mind sharing what the repair ended up costing you? Also curious if you've had any other issues pop up since getting it fixed?

Hey again! Glad my experience helped! Just wanted to update you, I actually got super lucky with the repair costs. Since my car was still under warranty, it didn't cost me anything to fix those ABS-related issues. The dealer acknowledged it was a manufacturing defect and handled everything. The best part? Since getting it fixed, my iX3 has been running perfectly smooth, no more warning lights, no jerking, and the transfer case limp mode problem completely disappeared. It's been such a relief! The transmission's back to shifting like butter too. Honestly, it was a bit nerve-wracking at first seeing all those warning lights, but once they sorted out the ABS module, all those consequential faults cleared up on their own. If your symptoms are matching what I experienced, definitely get it checked out at a certified dealer. With your car being a 2023 model, it should still be under warranty too. Let me know how it goes when you get it looked at, I'm curious to hear if it's the same issue!

Thanks for all the detailed info! You were totally right about getting it checked out. I finally took it to a different BMW dealer yesterday, and guess what? It was exactly what you described, a faulty ABS module! The service advisor showed me where moisture had gotten in and messed up the electronics. Since my car's still under warranty, they're replacing the whole unit for free. What a relief! They're also doing a full system check to make sure nothing else got damaged. The mechanic mentioned they've seen this issue before in other models, so I'm glad I didn't wait any longer to get it fixed. They're keeping my car for a couple more days to complete all the repairs and testing. Really appreciate you sharing your experience, it gave me the confidence to push for a proper inspection instead of just assuming it was the transfer case. Can't wait to get my car back and have it running smoothly again! Thanks again for all your help!

Hey there! I had very similar issues with my 2020 BMW iX3. The symptoms you're describing ring a bell, my car showed identical warning lights and jerking behavior. Initially thought it was just the transfer case, but it turned out the ABS module was failing, which caused a chain reaction affecting multiple systems including the AWD. During my garage visit, they found that moisture had gotten into the ABS unit, causing corrosion on the circuit board. This made the system send incorrect signals to other components. They had to replace the entire ABS module and recalibrate several systems to get everything working properly again. The transmission issues cleared up once the ABS was fixed, as they were just a symptom of the main problem. It was quite a serious issue that needed immediate attention, driving with faulty ABS is risky, and it can damage other connected systems if left unchecked. If you're seeing multiple systems acting up simultaneously, I'd suggest getting it checked ASAP at a certified dealer. These symptoms shouldn't be happening in such a new car. Hope this helps.
