Thank you so much for sharing your experience! This really helps as it sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. Mine's been acting up the same way, and I'm glad to hear you got it sorted. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the whole repair set you back? Also, has everything been running smoothly since the fix, or have you noticed any other quirks pop up? Just want to know what I might be in for with my M2. Thanks again for the help!

Hey again! Happy to update you on my experience. I actually just got my M3 back from the mechanic last week, and I'm pleased to tell you the ASC warning is completely gone. The issue was exactly what I suspected, a faulty ASC relay. The total bill came to 90 € for the relay replacement and labor, which honestly wasn't as bad as I feared it might be. Since the fix, my M3 has been running like a dream, no more jerking during acceleration, and both the ASC and ABS are working perfectly. All the warning lights have stayed off, and the car feels much more stable and confident, especially when accelerating from a stop. Honestly, it was worth every penny to get it sorted properly. Given how similar your symptoms sound to what I experienced, I'd say you're probably looking at the same kind of repair. My advice would be to get it fixed sooner rather than later, these systems are pretty important for safety, and it's not worth taking risks with them. Let me know how it goes with your M2!

Thanks for all that detailed info! I actually just got back from visiting a BMW specialist today. You were spot on about the ASC relay being the culprit. The mechanic found the same issue with corroded contacts, and they had to replace the whole module too. The repair cost was a bit higher than yours, but at least it's fixed now. The best part is my M2 feels completely different, in a good way! No more jerking, the warning lights are gone, and it drives so smoothly. Really glad I didn't wait any longer to get it fixed. It's such a relief to have the car back to normal. Thanks again for helping me figure this out, definitely saved me from going back to that first mechanic who couldn't diagnose it properly.

Hey there! I can relate to your ASC troubles. Had a similar situation with my 2012 BMW M3 last year. My symptoms matched yours perfectly, jerky acceleration, ASC and ABS lights staying on, and multiple error codes. Turned out the ASC relay was failing, which affected both traction control and ABS functions. The mechanic found corroded contacts inside the relay unit. In my case, they had to replace the entire ASC control module because the relay was integrated. The repair was pretty serious since these systems are crucial for vehicle stability and safety. You definitely want to get this fixed properly. My car was in the shop for two days while they diagnosed, ordered parts, and completed the repair. If your symptoms are identical to what I experienced, I'd suggest finding a BMW specialist rather than a general mechanic. These systems are complex and need someone who knows BMW electronics well.
