Thanks for sharing your experience! That sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. The symptoms match up perfectly with what you described. Did you remember roughly how much the whole repair ended up costing you? And has everything been running smoothly since the fix? Just want to get an idea of what I might be looking at cost-wise and whether it actually solved all the issues completely.

Hey again! Good to hear back from you. Just wanted to let you know that I got everything sorted with my M4. The repair was actually much simpler than what I initially had with my alternator issue, turned out it was just the battery being heavily discharged that was causing all those undervoltage warnings. Only cost me 290 € to fix, which was a relief compared to what I was expecting! Since getting it checked by the mechanic, everything's been running perfectly smooth. No more system warnings popping up, lights are bright as they should be, and the car starts up like a champ every single time. It's like having a completely different car now! Really glad I didn't wait any longer to get it fixed, these electrical gremlins can be pretty annoying when they start showing up. And honestly, considering all the headaches it was causing, the repair cost was totally worth it. Just make sure whoever looks at yours does a proper diagnostic check of the whole electrical system to be on the safe side. Hope this helps give you a better idea of what you might be dealing with!

Really appreciate the detailed feedback! Just got back from my mechanic visit today and wanted to share what happened. Turns out you were totally right about getting a proper diagnostic check. My issue was a bit different though, had to replace both the battery and some corroded connections. The old battery was original from 2016, so it was definitely time for a change. The whole ordeal cost me about 400 bucks, but honestly, it was worth every penny. The car's running like new now, no more flickering lights or system warnings, and it starts up instantly. Was actually surprised how much difference a new battery made to the overall performance. The mechanic I found was fantastic, really took the time to explain everything and even showed me the corroded parts. Such a different experience from the first shop I went to. Think I've finally found my go-to BMW specialist! Thanks again for helping me out with this. Sometimes you just need that push to get things checked properly!

Had the exact same issues with my 2019 BMW M4 last month. The symptoms you're describing are classic signs of a failing battery, I experienced identical problems: multiple system warnings, dim lights, and struggling to start. Got mine checked at the garage and turns out the battery was severely discharged, also found the alternator wasn't charging properly. The alternator was actually the root cause, which had been slowly killing the battery over time. They had to replace both components to fix it completely. This isn't just a simple dead battery situation, it's potentially serious because continuing to drive with these symptoms can damage other electrical components in your BMW. The car's computer systems are pretty sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Better get it checked properly, you'll need someone with proper diagnostic equipment for BMWs. Make sure they test both the battery and charging system thoroughly, not just the battery alone.
