Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! That's exactly what my X4 is doing. I'm pretty convinced it's the fuel injector too, based on what you've described. Did you remember roughly how much the repair set you back? Also, has everything been running smoothly since the fix, or have you noticed any other issues pop up? Just want to know what I might be in for. Thanks!

Hey again! Yeah, happy to help with those details! I actually just had this fixed about 3 months ago, and it cost me 515 € to replace the faulty injector. Money well spent though, my X3 is running like a dream now! The mechanic really knew their stuff and got it sorted properly. The engine's no longer running rich like before, which was such a relief for my wallet at the gas station! Acceleration is buttery smooth, no more of that annoying jerking, and my fuel consumption is back to normal. Honestly, it feels like I've got a different car now. Haven't had a single issue since the repair, so I'd say go for it. These BMWs are great cars when everything's working as it should. Just make sure you find someone who really knows their way around BMW engines, it makes all the difference. Let me know how it goes if you get it fixed! Always interested to hear how these things turn out.

Update on my X4 situation! Finally took it to a mechanic who specializes in European cars. You were spot on, it was indeed a faulty fuel injector. The repair cost me a bit more, around 650€, since they had to clean the entire fuel system too. But honestly, it was totally worth it! Got the car back yesterday and what a difference! No more jerking, the acceleration is super smooth, and that annoying check engine light is finally off. The mechanic was really thorough, showed me the clogged injector and explained everything. Much better experience than my last mechanic! They also gave me some tips about fuel quality and regular maintenance to prevent this from happening again. Thanks for sharing your experience, it really helped me make the decision to get it fixed properly. Car's running like new now, and I'm actually enjoying driving it again! Really appreciate the help. Now I can finally stop worrying about burning through fuel like crazy!

Hey there! I had very similar issues with my 2016 BMW X3 last year. The symptoms you're describing, poor acceleration, jerking, and high fuel consumption, match exactly what I experienced. Turned out to be a faulty fuel injector. The injector wasn't delivering fuel properly, causing uneven spray patterns and messing with the air-fuel mixture. The garage found cylinder 2 injector was completely clogged. They had to replace the injector and clean the entire fuel system. It was definitely a serious issue that needed immediate attention to prevent engine damage. After the fix, the difference was night and day, smooth acceleration returned, fuel economy improved significantly, and the check engine light cleared up. Just make sure you're using quality fuel and changing fuel filters according to schedule to prevent this from happening again. The repair took about a day in the shop. Can't give you specific mechanic recommendations, but look for someone who specializes in European cars and has proper diagnostic equipment for BMWs. Best of luck!
