Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! I just had my X7 fixed last month with similar issues. You're spot on about the hose connection problem. Do you remember roughly how much the repair cost you? My bill was pretty hefty but worth fixing before it got worse. Has everything been running smoothly since the repair? I've noticed my engine's been performing much better, but I'm keeping an eye on it just in case any other issues pop up. Let me know what you end up doing with yours, always good to compare notes on these things!

Hey again! Yeah, I remember the costs clearly, had to fork out 175 € to fix that pesky hose connection between the pump and valve. Not exactly pocket change, but definitely worth every penny considering what could've happened if left unfixed. And you're asking about how it's running now, honestly, it's been like a dream since the repair! The jerking completely stopped, no more check engine light giving me grief, and the engine's purring like it should. That air valve issue really had me worried at first, but once they sorted out the faulty connection, everything fell back into place. The mechanic did a solid job diagnosing it quickly, turns out that troublesome hose connection was the root of all those problems. Haven't had a single problem since the fix, which was about six weeks ago now. Just goes to show how one small component can cause such a headache! Glad to hear your X7's performing better too. Keep me posted if anything else comes up, always good to share these experiences with fellow BMW owners!

Thanks for the follow-up! Just wanted to share how it all turned out. Finally took my car to a new mechanic last week, and what a difference! The guy really knew his stuff, spotted the issue right away. Turned out I had the same problem with the hose connection, just like you mentioned. Bill came to around 200 €, a bit more than yours but included a full diagnostic check. Had them replace a few worn-out clamps while they were at it, just to be safe. First time in weeks I've driven without that annoying check engine light staring at me! Engine's running super smooth now, no more jerking or stalling. Such a relief to have it sorted. Mechanic even showed me what to watch out for in the future, which was pretty helpful. Thanks again for your advice, helped me know exactly what to ask about when I took it in. Really appreciate you sharing your experience!

Hey there! I had almost identical issues with my 2019 BMW X7. The symptoms you're describing ring a bell, I dealt with similar jerking and stalling, plus that annoying check engine light. Last month, my secondary air pump was acting up too. Turned out the connection hose between the pump and valve was deteriorating, causing air leaks. The mechanic found cracks in the hose and some loose clamps. The diagnosis was pretty straightforward once they hooked up the diagnostic system. It's definitely something you want to get checked out soon, in my case, the failing connection was causing the engine to get improper air mixture, which explained all those symptoms. They had to replace the hose and reinforce the connections. Not a super complex fix, but ignoring it could lead to bigger engine problems. My advice: Ask them to specifically check the hose connections and air valve assembly. Make sure they do a proper diagnostic scan first. A good mechanic should be able to spot this pretty quickly. Hope this helps!
