Boxer ABS and Lateral Acceleration Sensor Fault

Help! My 2023 Peugeot Boxer (electric) is throwing a hissy fit. The ABS lamp is on constantly, the whole ABS system is kaput, and the error memory is screaming about a lateral acceleration sensor fault. Mileage is at 68877 km. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds like a bad time! Could be a few things, but a lateral acceleration sensor fault definitely points towards an issue with the ESP/Traction control system. Is the van handling strangely? Have you noticed anything odd with the yaw rate when cornering? Any other warning lights?

Thanks! Handling seems normal, no other lights. Yaw rate seems okay, but honestly, I wouldn't know what 'not okay' feels like. You think it's actually the sensor itself, or something else triggering it?

Given the symptoms and error code, it's highly likely the lateral acceleration sensor or the control unit it's connected to is defective. These sensors are pretty sensitive. If all fuses are OK, you probably need to visit a workshop to replace the faulty part. Expect around 1000€ for the repair, as the control unit may be affected. Do not continue driving as the Electronic Stability Program may not function correctly.

Cheers! Appreciate the confirmation. Booked it into a garage. They reckon the same thing – stuffed control unit. Ouch. Thanks for setting my expectations correctly!
