A refrigerant leak was considered, but pressure tests were fine. The diagnostics point to the control module. Did you have similar diagnostic indications, or were other factors involved?

My Boxer just had the leaky refrigerant, didn't go as deep into diagnostics. If your tests point to the control unit, I'd say get it checked by a workshop. Could save you a lot of hassle.

Based on your recommendation and further investigation, I replaced the control unit. The repair was 980€. Thanks for confirming the potential severity.

Sounds familiar! I've got a Peugeot Boxer too. Had similar AC issues last summer – the air con just packed it in. Could it be a refrigerant leak? That's a pretty common and cheaper cause than a new control unit.
