Boxer Defrost Air Distribution Flap Error

I've got a 2005 Peugeot Boxer with a gasoline engine and about 70k km on the clock. I'm getting an error related to the defrost air distribution flap. The error memory stores the fault, and the heating output is pretty weak. Suspect a bad connection somewhere. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have a Boxer as well, and that sounds familiar. For me, it was also the HVAC unit giving me grief. Check the cable and plug connections like you suspect, but also consider the flap motor itself. If it's not moving freely, that can trigger the error.

Thanks for the quick reply! Do you remember which specific cable or plug connection gave you issues? Was it difficult to access?

I do not recall the specifics, I'm afraid. The access is a bit tight; think trying to reach for the last olive in a jar. Given the symptoms and error, I'd advise having a workshop take a look, before you start disassembling half the dashboard.

Understood. I appreciate the advice. I'll get it checked out. Turns out you were correct: cable to the flap motor was faulty. Cost 95€ to get it sorted.
