Boxer electric sun blind issue

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, and they all seem to be fine. So, when you say it was 'definitely the motor' on your Volvo, was it an easy fix, or did you end up taking it to a shop?

I'm no mechanic, so I took it straight to the shop. Replacing the motor involved removing part of the headliner, which I wasn't comfortable doing myself. If the fuse is good and you're getting an error code pointing to the motor, I'd say it's a safe bet that's the culprit. A workshop visit is probably in order.

Appreciate the advice! I was hoping it would be something simpler, but it looks like a trip to the shop is unavoidable. I got a quote for around 330€, which seems reasonable to get it sorted. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same problem with the sun visor in my old 2016 Volvo V60. The symptoms were identical: stuck blind, error code... In my case, it was definitely the motor. Did you try to check the fuse for the sunblind?
