Boxer engine stalls ventilation issue

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2022 Peugeot Boxer diesel (34767 km). The check engine light illuminates intermittently, and the engine occasionally stalls at idle. I suspect a leak in the fuel tank ventilation system, maybe a defective activated charcoal filter within the EVAP system. Anyone encountered similar air flow issues? Could this be affecting fuel efficiency?

Hello! I also own a Boxer, and your problem sounds very familiar. The check engine light and stalling issues... Could be a ventilation issue, yes. Has the air flow changed noticeably?

Thanks! I haven't specifically measured air flow, but I have noticed that the engine seems to hesitate slightly on acceleration sometimes. Did you experience anything like that with your vehicle?

That hesitation under acceleration is a key symptom, yes. In my case, it was indeed the fuel tank ventilation, specifically the charcoal filter. I advise you go to the workshop.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. The defective activated charcoal filter was indeed the culprit. Repair cost was 275€. Appreciate the advice!
