Boxer Intermittent Starting Issue

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2020 Peugeot Boxer diesel. It's got about 192,000 km on the clock. Recently, the engine sometimes refuses to start. Other times, it starts fine but then cuts out randomly. And sometimes, when it does run, it runs really rough. I've checked the dashboard lights, and they seem normal. Could this be an ignition coil issue, or maybe something with the ignition switch itself? I was thinking perhaps it's a fuse, but I couldn't find any obvious defective ones in the fuse box. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my Boxer. It was a pain. I'd check the ignition switch itself before diving too deep. Any flickering dashboard lights when it's struggling to start?

Thanks for the quick reply! No, the dashboard lights are solid, no flickering at all. Does that change your diagnosis?

Ok, no flickering rules out a few things. I still think the ignition switch is a strong possibility, or some related wiring. Honestly, with those symptoms, I'd take it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. Could save you a lot of time and headache.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was the ignition switch. Apparently, there was a defective fuse that had failed inside the switch itself. The repair cost me about 52€, including the replacement part and labor. All good now!
