Boxer Low Heat

My 2003 Peugeot Boxer diesel has low heating output and an error code. It's done about 17000 km. I think it's a defective water valve, maybe a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this on their Boxer?

Low heat and an error code, eh? Sounds awfully familiar. I've got a Boxer too, and something similar happened last winter. Drove me nuts! I was freezing my tail off. Could be a valve blockage messing with your car heating. Engine overheating is a risk too if the cooling system isn't working right. You checked the valve itself?

Thanks. Could you say more about the symptoms you had and what you checked? Did you get an error code? Any details on the valve you mentioned would be great.

Yeah, similar deal – heat was weak as all get-out. And yeah, there was definitely an error code, but I can't recall the exact number. Honestly, after fiddling with it for a bit and checking the obvious stuff, I just took it to a workshop. Saved myself a lot of hassle. Could be worth doing the same.

I'm taking it to a workshop. The defective water valve was replaced, and the faulty cable connection was repaired. It cost 95€.
