BR V Emergency Call System Error

Hey, I've got a 2017 Honda BR-V with a gasoline engine and a weird problem. My emergency call system is throwing errors. I get a message in the speedometer, a warning light, and the diagnostic says there's an error stored in the memory. Car's got 206753 km on it. Anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

A 2017 Honda BR-V owner experienced an error with the emergency call system, indicated by a message on the speedometer and a warning light. The issue was diagnosed as a defective cable or plug connection related to the emergency call module. A similar problem was resolved by addressing the control module connection for the SOS signal, which was confirmed as the cause and fixed at a workshop.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey! I had something similar happen in my BR-V. Was it potentially a cable or plug connection?

Interesting! Yeah, the report suggests it's likely a defective cable or plug connection. Where was yours located? I'm trying to narrow it down before I take it in.

Mine was indeed the same! I didn't troubleshoot it myself, just took it straight to the workshop. They said something about the control module connection for the SOS signal. It was a quick fix, luckily.

Thanks, that's helpful! Ended up taking it to the shop and it was a defective plug connection to the emergency call module, as you suspected. Cost me 95€, but at least it's sorted. Cheers!
