Brake light error
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Peugeot 807 owner experienced a brake light error, with the lights not activating when the pedal was pressed. The issue was suspected to be a faulty brake light switch. Another owner confirmed similar symptoms and suggested checking the switch, which is located near the brake pedal. The problem was resolved by repositioning the switch, which had been displaced by the floor mat, eliminating the error without needing replacement.

Thanks! What exactly happened and what did you try before fixing it? Also, where is the switch located?

Yeah, it was pretty much as I said: constant error message popping up, and no brake lights. Took it to a workshop, they swapped the switch in like 10 minutes. I think it's near the brake pedal. That's the best I can do!

Just wanted to let you know the issue is fixed. It was the brake light switch, like you said. Turns out it had just been knocked out of place by the floor mat, so the pedal wasn't hitting it right. Popped it back in, and the error's gone. Didn't even need a new switch, so it cost 0€! Thanks again for the help.

Hey! I had something similar happen in my 807. No brake lights, warning lights all over the dash – a real Christmas tree effect! Might be a faulty brake light switch. Those things are cheap and easy to replace.
