Brio Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Honda Brio is experiencing stalling issues at idle, with the check engine light indicating an idle air control valve problem. Cleaning the throttle body did not resolve the issue, leading to suspicion of a heavily contaminated intake. The problem was confirmed to be a faulty idle air control valve, which was replaced, resolving the stalling issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yeah, the idle speed is erratic as heck! It jumps around like crazy before finally conking out. Did you also get the check engine light and error code? What fixed it for you?

Yep, check engine light and the code. I ended up taking mine to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the idle air control valve. Seems like a common issue. They sorted it pretty quickly though.

Thanks for the info! I suspected it might be the valve itself. Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and take it in. The workshop confirmed that the intake was heavily contaminated and the idle air control valve was indeed faulty. The whole repair set me back 425€, but at least it's finally fixed!

Sounds familiar. I had similar stalling problems with my Brio, though I didn't clean the throttle body myself. Was the idle speed also all over the place?
