Brio starting issue

My 2023 Honda Brio with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. It's got 235917 km on the clock, and lately, it's been a nightmare to start. Plus, the fuel consumption has gone through the roof, engine power feels like it's been cut in half, idling is rough, and it even stalls sometimes when I'm stopped. I'm thinking it might be a dirty injection valve... Am I on the right track?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Honda Brio with high mileage is experiencing starting issues, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, rough idling, and occasional stalling. The problem is suspected to be a dirty or defective injection valve, especially since the engine light is on. After taking the car to a repair shop, it was confirmed that the injection nozzle was defective, and replacing it resolved the issues.

I had similar issues with my Brio. Is the engine light on?

Yes, the engine light is on. Did you experience all the same symptoms?

Yes, those are exactly the same symptoms I had. Given the emissions light is on, I suggest you have it checked at a repair shop.

Thanks for the tip. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on! Turns out the injection nozzle was defective. Cost me 515€ to get it sorted, but at least it's running smoothly now.
