C Klasse air suspension problem

My 2016 Mercedes C Klasse with a gasoline engine and 54933 km on the clock is giving me grief. The car won't lift, leans to one side, throws an error in the speedometer, and the ride is now super bumpy. I suspect a faulty air suspension bellows valve, but I am not sure. Anyone else had this issue?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my C Klasse. The symptoms you describe, especially the leaning, point to a possible air leak in the air suspension. Have you checked for any hissing sounds around the air springs? It could be a defective bellows valve, as you suspect. When mine went, the compressor was working overtime, trying to compensate for the air leak.

No hissing sounds that I could hear, but then again, it's not always easy to pinpoint. So, it was definitely the air spring for you? Was there anything else that went wrong as a result of it?

Yep, it was the air spring. Driving it for too long like that can put extra strain on the air suspension compressor, potentially shortening its lifespan too. I would strongly recommend getting it checked out at a workshop sooner rather than later to prevent further damage. It’s a fairly common issue, unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. It was the bellows valve on the air spring. The repair cost me 590€. All fixed now.
