C1 emergency call system malfunction

Experiencing an issue with my 2006 Citroen C1 (diesel engine). The emergency call system seems to have malfunctioned. I get an error message and warning light. The error memory also stores this fault. Read that a potential cause could be a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone seen something similar?

I have a C1 too, though not sure about the year. I had a similar issue. Felt like a lightbulb blowing, a sudden and annoying warning. Did you check the diagnostic codes? Might give you a clue before diving into the wiring.

Yes, the codes were fairly generic. It did specifically mention the emergency call system, though. Given the complexity, it might be worth having a workshop take a look. I ended up going that route and they sorted it pretty quickly.

Appreciate the advice. I'll schedule an appointment with a workshop to have it diagnosed and repaired. Seems some issues are best left to the professionals. Estimated cost is around 95€. Thanks again for sharing your experience!
