C1 rough running and engine light

I drive a C1 too and had similar symptoms recently. If the temperature reading seems off when you use a diagnostic tool – like showing a very high or very low temperature even when the engine is cold – the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor is likely the problem. Replacing the air sensor fixed it for me.

How did you confirm the intake air temperature sensor was the issue? Did you perform specific tests, or was it solely based on the diagnostic tool's readings?

The diagnostic tool showed implausible values from the IAT sensor. Considering your symptoms and the error code, a defective intake air temperature sensor is highly probable. Given your intermediate knowledge, I'd recommend a trusted workshop for inspection and repair. You could damage additional engine parts if you do the repair incorrectly.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local workshop, and they confirmed a defective intake air temperature sensor. The repair, including parts and labor, was 155€. The issues are resolved.
