C1 Transport Mode Issue

My 2006 Citroen C1 diesel (62655 km) is showing "transport mode active" on the dash. This seems to have bricked a few things - general electrical malfunction, navigation system without function. It behaves like a brand new car that needs its settings configured. I've tried engine start attempts and checked the immobilizer, but no joy. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my C1. Not sure if it's the same, but were you messing about with the vehicle settings recently?

Vehicle settings? Not really, I haven't touched anything out of the ordinary. Could it be a software glitch, perhaps?

That's what it was in my case. It sounds like it might need a software refresh to properly initialize. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They should be able to sort it out.

Thanks for the pointer. A trip to the dealer and a quick software refresh got it sorted. Seems like the transport mode hadn't been deactivated properly from the factory. All electrical malfunctions and navigation system issues are gone. No repair costs occurred, it was all under guarantee!
