C2 Solar Sensor Fault

Hi, I have a 2009 Citroen C2 gasoline with 38246 km on the clock. I'm getting a 'solar sensor fault' error stored. The heating output seems low. I suspect a bad connection. Has anyone else had this?

Interesting. I've got a C2, and I remember seeing something similar a while back... low heat output and all. Did you check the sensor's connector itself? Is it possible there might be some corrosion?

Good point about the corrosion. I'll double-check the connector. By connector do you mean the cable or the plug?

Yes, I am referring to both the cable and the plug. However, if you are getting low heat I would say that is definitely the solar sensor that is at fault and you need to get it sorted out, but is it worth fiddling with it yourself? Maybe a workshop is a better option here...

Thanks for the advice! I did check it out, and yeah, I think you're right. Ended up going to a workshop, and they replaced it. Cost me 95€ to get it done, which is fine.
