C2 Washer Fluid Warning Light Stays On

Hi, I have a 2009 Citroen C2 with a gasoline engine and 131233 km. The dashboard light for low washer fluid is on, and the windshield washer system doesn't work. Error is also stored in the error memory. I've checked the obvious: Wiper water level too low, but it's full. Any ideas?

I had something similar in my C2. Washer fluid low warning even with a full reservoir. It was like the car was crying wolf! Check the washer motor; sometimes they fail, or the sensor gets gunked up.

Thanks! Where is the washer motor located? Is it easy to get to and check myself, or do I need special tools?

It's usually attached to the washer fluid reservoir. If you aren't used to car repairs, I would just go to the workshop. I had the same symptoms, the washer motor burned. A new one was about 25€ including the replacement.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to a local workshop, and it was indeed the washer motor. New one installed for 25€. Problem solved!
