Yes, there is significant turbo lag. Is the vacuum switching valve easily diagnosed? Did you notice any unusual noises?

I couldn't pinpoint the noise myself, to be honest. It was more of a general lack of oomph. The valve itself, I think it's tricky to diagnose without proper equipment. I'd suggest a garage visit. They can check the intake manifold pressure and bypass valve more accurately.

Thanks! Based on your experience, it sounds likely to be the vacuum switching valve. I had it checked at the shop; that was indeed the problem. Repair cost 140€. Problem solved!

Sounds frustrating! I had similar symptoms on my 2014 Opel Astra after about 100k km. Check Engine light, turbo lag, the whole shebang! For me, it turned out to be a dodgy vacuum switching valve related to the turbo. Is your C3 also showing signs of turbo lag?
