C3 GPS Antenna Issue

My 2017 Citroen C3, gasoline engine, has a weird GPS issue. The navigation system says there's no GPS signal and the error memory has an error stored related to the GPS antenna. I'm at 165148 km. Anyone else had this? Could it really just be a defective antenna?

GPS issues can be tricky. Is the error message specifically pointing to the antenna itself, or is it a more generic GPS malfunction type of error? Sometimes it's the connection or wiring that goes bad before the actual antenna. Have you checked the antenna connection? Where is the antenna actually located on the C3?

Good point about the wiring, I hadn't thought of that. I'll have to check. The error is fairly specific, something like GPS antenna: open circuit/short circuit. As for the location, I believe it's integrated into the shark fin antenna on the roof at the back, but I'm not 100% sure.

Okay, open/short circuit does point more directly to the antenna or its immediate wiring. If it's in the shark fin, accessing the connection might be a pain. Honestly, with those symptoms and the error code, it's probably the antenna itself. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they can properly diagnose and replace it. You can probably get it done for around 200€.

Thanks for the help! I appreciate the insight. I'll book it in with a local workshop to get the GPS antenna looked at and replaced. Hopefully, that sorts it out!
