C30 Audio System Failure

I had something similar in my C30 – though mine's a petrol. Complete audio failure, total silence. Have you checked the fuses first? Also, does your dashboard control illumination still work when the audio is off? It could point to a bigger electrical issue.

Fuses are fine. Dashboard illumination works normally. The display powers on, but it's just blank. No crackling from the speakers or anything. Was yours the same? Did you manage to fix it yourself or did it have to go to the workshop?

Yep, mine was identical - display lit up, but totally blank. I tried looking for faulty wiring and checking the car speakers, but without proper diagnostics, I was lost. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the display unit itself. It's connected to the entertainment control module (ECM), so if the display is bad, it can knock the whole system out. They replaced the unit.
