C30 Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Volvo C30 diesel exhibited a charge air temperature sensor error, resulting in a check engine light, reduced power, and a loud hissing noise during acceleration. The issue was suspected to be a faulty cable or plug connection. After further investigation, it was confirmed that the problem was indeed a cable connection on the charge air temperature sensor, which was resolved at a workshop.

Fluctuating, yeah, definitely jumping around! No real starting issues though, starts okay, just runs rough and feels sluggish. What was the fix on your Peugeot?

Mine was supposedly the sensor connection. Honestly, after messing with it, I just took it to a workshop. It could also be something else with the temperature or airflow. The error code may not tell you everything, unfortunately.

Right, thanks for the info! I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but sounds like that's the best bet. I just got it back. Turns out it was indeed the cable connection on the charge air temperature sensor. Cost me 95€, but at least it’s sorted now.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! Had almost the exact same symptoms on my old Peugeot 307. Whistling, power loss, the works. Check engine light too, of course. Was yours fluctuating a lot? Did you have any starting issues?
