C30 electronic parking brake failure
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Volvo C30 diesel has an electronic parking brake failure, with a fault stored in the error memory and a warning light on. The suspected cause is a defective electric motor in the brake caliper. A diagnostic check at a local garage is planned, with a repair cost estimate of around 505€.

Thanks! Which brake sensor are you referring to, and where is it located? Is it easy to check myself?

I honestly don't know exactly which one it was, sorry. I'm not that technically gifted. But the symptoms were very similar to yours. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they sorted it. Probably best to get it checked out properly!

Okay, I appreciate the input! I've booked it in for a diagnostic check at a local garage. They've quoted around 505€ for the repair, which seems reasonable considering the electric motor is likely defective.

That sucks! I had a similar issue with my Renault Megane a while back. The symptoms sound pretty familiar. Did you check the brake sensor?
