My 2006 Volvo C30 with a gasoline engine (213735 km) has a gearbox issue. It slips and shifts uncleanly. I suspect transfer case oil wear or defective gears. Anyone else experience this?

Mine resembled defective gears, but it was complex. Get a specialized workshop to replace the oil and check the gears. If that fixes it, you're lucky.

Appreciate the insight. My mechanic inspected the transfer case and confirmed the gears were the problem, as suspected. Total cost was around 330€.
