C30 Intermittent Starting Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2011 Volvo C30 diesel. The engine intermittently fails to start, sometimes shuts off while driving, and occasionally runs roughly. I suspect a fuse, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else seen this?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my C30. Did you check your starter motor? When you turn the key, does the dashboard light up normally, or does it flicker like a faulty bulb?

The dashboard lights behave erratically when the engine won't start. Could that really be the starter motor? I thought that meant car electronics failure, not the starter motor.
