C30 power windows not working
Summary of the thread
The power windows on a 2011 Volvo C30 stopped working, with both windows stuck and an error message displayed. The issue was initially suspected to be related to the window regulator or motor, but a similar past experience suggested the power window switch might be defective. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the problem was indeed a faulty power window switch, which was then replaced.

Thanks for the quick reply! No, there's absolutely no response when I press the window buttons. Could it really be just the switch? I was thinking it might be the window regulator or the motor itself.

Well, it's tough to say for sure without proper diagnostics, but the symptoms sound very similar to what I experienced. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty switch. But without knowing for sure, it would be best to go to the workshop.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were right – it was the power window switch. They replaced it for 200€. Appreciate the help!

Hey! I had something similar happen on my Volvo C30. Have you checked the power window switch itself? It could be defective. I mean, is there any life in the motor when you press the button, or is it completely dead?
