C4 air suspension failure
Summary of the thread
The 2023 Citroen C4 is experiencing air suspension failure, resulting in the car not lifting and leaning, accompanied by an error message and a bumpy ride. A potential cause could be a defective bellows valve, which controls the air flow in the suspension system and may lead to air leaks if faulty. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected and repaired by a professional workshop, as the issue may require complex mechanical work.

Bellows valve? I'm not too familiar with suspension systems. Where exactly is that located, and what does it do? Is it difficult to check? Is this related to some sort of air leak?

It's part of the air suspension, which uses air instead of springs. The bellows valve controls the air going in and out of the suspension air bags. If it's defective, like a split or bad seal, it can cause air leaks. You'll probably need to go to a workshop to get it properly checked and repaired, unless you're comfortable with complex mechanical work.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like it's beyond my skills. I'll take it to a workshop and mention the bellows valve. They quoted me around 590€ for the repair, which sounds about right after doing some research. Hopefully, that's all it is.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my C4’s pneumatic suspension. The symptoms you describe match what I experienced. Have you checked the bellows valve?
