C4 Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error

I'm experiencing a problem with my 2014 Citroen C4 diesel. The check engine light illuminates intermittently, and the car seems to suffer from reduced engine power. I've also noticed a distinct whistling noise, accompanied by a loud hissing sound upon acceleration. The error memory indicates a charge air temperature sensor error. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered similar issues?

I had a similar problem with my C4. Those symptoms sound very familiar. Was there any temperature fluctuation in the air intake readings? If so, that could indicate a faulty sensor or connection. I remember checking all the connections, but I couldn't find anything obvious.

Thank you for your swift response. I did notice some temperature fluctuations in the readings, yes. Where exactly did you check the connections? Perhaps I missed something. I tried looking at the sensor itself and the immediate wiring, but everything seemed superficially fine.

I checked the connection at the sensor and followed the wiring harness as far as I could without dismantling everything. Honestly, after a while, I just took it to a workshop. Saved me a lot of frustration. It's probably best to have it checked by a professional.

Understood. I appreciate your input. I will schedule an appointment with a workshop to diagnose the issue further. Thank you again for sharing your experience. It cost me 95€ but now it's working perfectly again.
