C4 Coolant Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Citroen C4 diesel owner experienced a check engine light due to low coolant levels. Despite not finding visible leaks initially, suggestions included checking the cooling fan, water pump, and radiator cap for leaks. Ultimately, a workshop visit revealed a minor hose leak, which was repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't seen any obvious leaks, but I'll take a closer look around those areas. Is it possible the coolant is disappearing without a visible leak, or should I definitely be seeing something?

It's tricky, sometimes it's a very slow leak or even internal. I'd still double-check the areas I mentioned. But honestly, if you can't find anything obvious, a workshop visit is probably best. Could save you from potential engine overheating issues down the line.

Appreciate the advice. I checked again, and still no luck finding the leak. I took it to the workshop; turns out there was a minor leak on a hose. The repair was 52€. Thanks for the help!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my C4. Have you checked for visible leaks around the cooling fan, water pump, or radiator cap? It could also be a small leak that's hard to spot.
