My mileage is 98521 km. Fuel volume regulator… is that part of the fuel injection system? Is it expensive to replace? And is the high-pressure pump something that needs immediate attention?

Yeah, the fuel volume regulator controls the amount of fuel entering the engine. The high pressure pump is essential to provide the correct fuel pressure to the injection system, so it might explain the stalling and low power. I'd get it checked at a workshop ASAP. It can cause further damage. This is above my expertise, but a good mechanic should solve the issue.

Thank you so much for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and they confirmed it was the high-pressure fuel pump that was defective, as you suggested. The repair cost me 1510€, but at least my C4 is running smoothly again!

Sounds like what happened with my C4. I'd say your fuel volume regulator is defective, and the likely cause is a defective high pressure pump. What's your mileage?
