C4 heating malfunction
Summary of the thread
The 2022 Citroen C4 electric is experiencing heating issues, with inadequate warmth and windshield fogging. The car's computer indicates a fault with the defrost air distribution flap, which could be causing the problem. A potential cause might be a loose or defective wire connected to the flap motor. It is suggested to have a qualified workshop diagnose and repair the issue, as a similar problem was resolved by fixing a defective wire, costing around 95€.

Wiring, eh? Good shout! Where exactly would I find the connector for this flap motor? Is it buried deep within the dashboard, or is it something I can get to relatively easily? I'm no mechanic, but I'm willing to poke around a bit if I know where to poke! Any chance you remember where it was on yours?

Unfortunately, the exact location can vary slightly depending on the specific configuration. However, based on my experience, I would recommend that you visit a qualified workshop. They will be able to diagnose the wiring and connectors more precisely and ensure correct operation of the heater core afterwards. In my case, the error was caused by a defective wire, which cost me 95€ to repair.

Right you are. I suspected as much! Thanks for the help, though! I'll book it in and let them sort it. I'll mention the wiring to them, so hopefully it saves them some time (and me some money!). Seems that the repair cost will be around 95€ anyway!

I had a similar issue with my C4 – though I cannot remember the year. The error code points to a problem with the air distribution flap. The heating being too low suggests that it is not directing air correctly. Before tearing apart the HVAC unit, did you check the wiring and connectors to the flap motor? Sometimes a loose connection can cause these issues, similar to a flickering light bulb being due to a loose wire.
