C4 immobilizer issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Citroen C4 electric vehicle with high mileage experienced starting issues, with the engine dying immediately after starting. The problem was identified as an immobilizer error, likely due to a key programming issue. The suggested solution was to visit a workshop for key reprogramming, which resolved the issue and restored the car's functionality.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yeah, the security light is going nuts! Flashing like a Christmas tree! Seems like the car doesn't even know the key is there, you know? Did you find out what was causing it?

Aha! It's like your car has forgotten its own name! For me, the issue definitely pointed to the key programming being corrupted. I would recommend visiting a workshop to get it fixed.

Thanks a lot for the help! I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on! The key needed reprogramming. Cost me 45€ and now she's running smoothly!

I also have a C4! This sounds suspiciously like the immobilizer fault I experienced. Does the security light on the dash behave erratically? Do you have the feeling that the car doesn't recognise that the key is inserted?
