C4 Outside Temperature Sensor Fault

I'm at my wit's end! My 2022 Citroen C4, gasoline engine, is showing a faulty outside temperature sensor. I've got the error memory light on, the air conditioning won't kick in, the spray nozzles are frozen even when it's not that cold, and the mirror heating is completely dead! Could this really be a defective cable?

Sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same issues with my 2018 Opel Astra. The outside temp sensor went haywire. Do you happen to know if the sensor readings are completely off or just inconsistent?

Inconsistent, definitely! It jumps all over the place, sometimes showing -40°C even when it's clearly above freezing. Was yours doing the same? Did you find out what it was?

Yep, mine was doing the exact same thing. Jumping all over the place. Based on your symptoms, I'd say you are better off going to the workshop and getting it checked properly.

Right you were! Took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a defective plug connection, just like the error message said! 95€ later, and everything's working fine. Thanks for the help!
