C4 parking assist failure
Summary of the thread
The parking assist system on a 2006 Citroen C4 stopped working, displaying a fault in the error memory. Initial checks of the blind spot sensors and rearview camera showed no visible issues. A suggestion was made to inspect the connections to the proximity sensors and the control module's wiring for any loose plugs or corrosion. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a faulty cable connection, which was resolved by a professional repair.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly are the proximity sensor connections located? Are they easy to get to, or do I need to remove anything?

They are usually in the bumper, but it's best to have a professional check it. In my case, it turned out to be a defective cable/plug that cost 95€ to repair. Since you've checked the obvious things, it might be worth taking it to a workshop.

I appreciate the advice. I ended up taking it to the workshop, and you were spot on! Faulty cable connection. All sorted now, thanks!

I had something similar happen with my C4. Have you checked the connections to the proximity sensors themselves? I would also check the control module's wiring. Make sure all the plugs are seated properly and there isn't any corrosion.
