C5 Central Locking Failure
Summary of the thread
The central locking system on a 2021 Citroen C5 hybrid stopped working, with neither the key fob nor the internal button functioning. Despite checking the fuses and using a diagnostic tool that indicated an error related to the door locking system, the issue persisted. A suggestion was made to inspect the wiring harness inside the door for loose or corroded connectors. Upon following this advice and consulting a mechanic, the problem was identified as a defective plug connection in the door, which was subsequently fixed.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that wiring harness located? Is it easy to access, or do I need to take the door panel apart?

Yes, you will have to take the door panel apart, I am afraid. The harness is inside the door. If you have any doubts, or you are not an experienced DIY car mechanic, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. It will cost you less than making things worse.

Okay, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on! It was a defective plug connection in the door. Cost me 95€ to fix. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had something similar happen on my C5. Have you checked the wiring harness where it connects to the door? Sometimes the connectors can get loose or corroded, causing the system to fail. It's like a loose wire on a lamp, causing it to flicker or not work at all.
