Turbo lag is a good way to describe it. Where exactly should I be looking around the intake manifold? I'm not very familiar with the engine layout, and wouldn't know where to start.

Yeah, that lag definitely points towards a boost problem. I'm no expert either, to be honest. It could be a faulty boost solenoid or a bypass valve issue. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. Mine ended up being a defect in a vacuum switching valve. Cost about 140€ to get sorted.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. Hopefully, it's something similar and not too expensive.

Hey, I had something similar happen with my C5. Sounds like it could be a boost pressure issue. Does it feel like there's a bit of turbo lag, almost like a pressure drop? Have you checked for any obvious leaks around the intake manifold?
