C5 Hybrid Air Suspension Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Citroen C5 hybrid experienced a fault with its air suspension, causing the car to sit unevenly and display multiple error messages. The issue was suspected to be related to the air suspension bellows valve. After consulting with a mechanic, it was confirmed that the valve was defective, and replacing it resolved the problem, restoring the car's smooth ride without needing a full system replacement.

Good shout, I'll give the listening trick a go. So if it is the valve on the air spring, is a new airbag guaranteed, or can you get away with just the valve itself? I don't want to be ripped off by some garage telling me it's a whole new system needed when it's a 50€ fix!

Nah, if it's just the valve, you should be able to replace that separately. But honestly, at that mileage and those symptoms, the airbag itself might be on its way out too. Best get it checked properly at a workshop, they'll be able to pressure test the system and tell you exactly what's gone bad.

Cheers for the advice. Took it to my local mechanic, turns out the valve on the air suspension bellows was indeed defective, just like you said. Ended up costing me 590€ for the valve and fitting. At least it wasn't a full system replacement! Back on the road now and riding smoothly.

Sounds like a classic air leak. Especially with the leaning. Have you listened closely around each air spring? You might hear a faint hissing, which would pinpoint the culprit. Is the compressor running overtime trying to compensate?
