C5 Seat Heater Failure

Alright Citroen heads, need some brainpower here! My 2004 C5 diesel's seat heater is stone cold. The error memory has a code stored, but the seat itself? Nothing. Feels like sitting on an iceberg! Anyone wrestled with this demon before? I'm guessing the heating element is toast...

I had something similar in my C5. Check the connections under the seat, but chances are it's the heating mat itself. Is it only happening on one seat, or both?

Just the driver's side, thankfully! Connections seem solid, though I'll double-check. If it IS the mat, is it a massive job to replace? Like, engine-out level of crazy, or more 'annoying Sunday afternoon' level?

Nah, not engine-out crazy, thankfully! But still annoying. I ended up just biting the bullet and taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the mat and swapped it out. Cost me about 390€. Worth it for a warm bum in winter!

Ugh, 390€... that stings, but a frozen posterior stings more! Sounds like I'm heading down the same path. Thanks for confirming my suspicions - at least I know what I'm in for. Much appreciated!
