Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't see any leaks. But with the grinding, could low oil still be the problem, even without leaks? Or is a faulty sensor more likely?

Okay, no leaks is interesting. Still, even without seeing any, it might still be low. But honestly, with those symptoms, and the error code pointing right at the temp sensor, it's probably best to get it checked out by someone who knows their stuff. Could be a cheap fix, could be something bigger brewing. Don't want to risk wrecking the whole transmission!

I appreciate the advice. I consulted a specialist. The transmission oil level was low, and the sensor was faulty. The repair, including parts and labor, cost 365€.

Whoa, sounds rough! Grinding noises are never a good sign. Is the transmission oil level actually low when you checked? A faulty temp sensor could also be giving you bad readings and throwing everything off, even if the level seems okay. Have you noticed any leaks?
