C5 weak heating

Hey, I've got a 2021 Citroen C5 diesel with about 126k km on the clock. Recently, the heating's been pretty weak, and the windshield takes ages to defrost. I scanned for errors and found something about the defrost air distribution flap being faulty. Could a dodgy cable or connection really cause this? The error memory has registered this issue, and the heating output is definitely lower than it should be. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my C5’s HVAC unit a while back. It could be a faulty connection. Have you checked the plug connections to the blower motor and the dashboard panel, maybe there is a loose cable?

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly are those connections located? Are they easy to get to, or am I going to be taking half the ventilation system apart to find them?

They are a bit tricky to get to, unfortunately. I wasn't able to fix it myself. Eventually, I just took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the cable. If you aren't comfortable with taking the car apart, it might be best to just get it checked by a professional.

Alright, thanks for the heads up! I'll probably do that then. Just got a quote of 95€ from the shop, so I'll take it in. Thanks again!
