C6 Air Valve Hose Issue

I've got a 2005 Citroen C6 with a gasoline engine. The check engine light just came on at 88461 kilometers. I think it might be the air valve system, maybe a bad hose from the pump to the valve. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my C6. If the check engine light is on and you suspect the air valve, check the vacuum hoses carefully. They're like the engine's veins, and leaks cause idle problems. Have you noticed any weird noises or rough idling along with the light?

Thanks. No strange noises or idling issues. But I'm still worried about the air to the intake manifold. Can you tell me more about your vacuum hose experience, especially the pump-to-valve connection?

My hose connection got brittle and had a hairline crack, almost invisible. It messed up the air-fuel mix and triggered the sensor. The air intake is complex, so I'd suggest a workshop. Better safe than sorry; they can find and fix it fast.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the hose was bad. The repair was 175€, including parts and labor. Thanks again!
